Not so sure it won’t take it’s toll at CFCU. Remember Yankee and SCP both attracted the top players in the past. MM has jammed his rosters at CFCU, which is a clear signal to parents that they are most focused on $ and not player development. So many kids being asked to sit home every weekend across all age groups from U13 to U18/19. They used to leave the oldest composite team open to place overflow kids on weekends, now that roster is 22. Not sure how you justify when parents are paying to play? They dodged the GDA bullet, so they can get away with it as no other options currently. However, CFCU parents are growing tired of loaded rosters, no game/tactical analysis, no coaching continuing education, no club circulumn, etc. Rumor of a well funded venture being discussed by CT pro that is talking to WC club about opening CT/NY club that uses ECNL badge of parent. Could get interesting

Pretty simple. Instead of speculating, you’ll get answers on roster size in the next few weeks or so once NLI day passes. If SHU doesn’t allow cuts (which is sure seems like it doesn’t), then the roster will likely stay large for a couple of years until it turns over completely. But the roster size isn’t a secret so anyone who stays has made their choice. Might not be mine, but who cares? As for what he did or didn’t do, my guess is the school caved to a complaint and he’s fighting it. If he’s back, you can guess that is was probably faulty. I’m sure it will shake out soon enough.

When the dust settles the number will be more like 19 with 6 seniors leaving. U thought 41 was a big number how about 54?

Perfect my kid plays free safety, covers punts and kickoffs. Squad of 54 is perfect

They’re not bringing in 19. Hahaha! They wouldn’t fit in one bus. They’d need to travel like football in two buses!

he can't even dress 54...real fireworks will happen when half the team doesn't get to travel

MM would be great for this program, respected, smart, and does the right thing. Doesn’t betate his players like it’s suspected current coach did.

If coach aid something inappropriate than there should be zero tolerance, fire him

MM has been out almost the entire 2nd half of the season. Surprised he hasn't either returned or been fired. Very strange . Whatever the accusations are they must be serious. Or maybe the AD just has no spine and will let him twist in the wind till next season. Maybe a senior was involved and they are waiting for her to graduate and get the hell out of everyones hair. Along with her parents.

Sadly this is what has become of College sports. Holding your breath until the ahole, complaining parent leaves. Think skinned College AD's. Shameful

He hasn’t been out that long, but definitely longer than normal. Maybe you’re right though about them waiting it out. If it was serious, he would have been long gone.

It is pathetic to see at the college level. We've certainly seen it happen at the HS level - blowhards trying and sometimes successfully getting coaches fired. A school isn't going to stand behind a coach who supposedly did something really bad, let alone for one that hasn't even been there very long. But threaten a lawsuit, or maybe drop your big alumni donations, and viola! Suspension or firing!

Only 5 of his 21 freshmen are from CT. So much for that jamming the roster with CFCU players.

Any player who agrees to play at SHU right now should have their head examined. The rosters a public.

With 21 freshmen and a playoff birth, not sure they need anyone else so your words are hollow. Looking at the stats. Looks like 8-9 freshmen start. GK is a freshman. Of the 21 goals scored by the team, 18 are by freshmen. Some players (or their families) might not be happy about it, but it sure looks like they got it right.
