You all can be quiet now. Axel scored a penalty and an absolute stunner volley against dc United in the 05’s 3-2 win. He may not be able to compete physically and win as many tackles as the other kids but he is incredible on the ball. Makes sharp, smart passes and rarely loses the ball. Hats off to this kid playing 2 years up and playing amazing. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

Who the hell cares what you think. This is America and this is the way we want to do it. Why don't you leave this country. Your pompous attitude about soccer is the problem. America likes underdogs and those make the best stories. Don't ruin that for us. When we win the World Cup, and we will, with a team that highly overachieves, because that's what we do, and the countries that you are from and love so much, will underachieve, because that's what they do, it will be a miracle on grass (not ice) level sports story. Much better story than how we kick everybody's ass in Basketball, Olympic, etc.... There are 3 world cup that come to mind where we almost went to the Semi Final and should have, one where we pushed Ghana and Belgium, to the brink in the round of 16. Everytime we have been there, we have competed and pushed powerhouse countries to the brink. One day, we will win those and keep competing. By the way, our players are not soft, they are just far more intelligent than the rest of the World players. Our players, value school, still want to go to college, have played multiple sports, most much tougher than soccer and could kick your kids ass in a New York minute. evident today that the TEAM did not maintain possession of the ball well enough to win. there are numerous reasons for this but it is ultimately the coaches job to provide the team with an identity. if the identity is to play direct, then you need to live with games like this against opponents that u cannot be overcome w/ mere size and speed. When you sign up for an MLS academy they owe you and they do whatever they want. When parents and players signed up for this team, they should have expected these things to happen, especially the first year. There are politics everywhere including MLS teams.
