Williams put a lot of pressure on early, but MIT held strong. MIT scored late in the first half off a corner. In the second half the game opened up a bit. MIT carried the play, scoring its second goal off of another corner. Williams got its goal off a free kick just outside the top of the box. That energized Williams, which had some chances. But MIT held firm and countered. MIT's last goal was a beauty, free kick to a forward outside the top of the box, nice layoff to an open player who nail a left footed kick from 30 yards into the top left corner.
MIT earned the victory. Williams was outshot. MIT had many more corners. Both teams played pretty soccer.
