    Why shlt on that?

Nobody is "****ing" on that. What we are saying is, NECSL and EDP are less talented than NEP as a whole. If you are not trying to play at an elite level, why are a lot of the kids that play in those 2 leagues traveling 2+ hours each way for games? That sounds like your trying to be elite, no? Why not just play town rec or competitive level, there is no need to travel 2 hours each way if you don't want to be elite.

Not even close. NECSL is doing well and the clubs/teams seem to be happy. Having experience with both NECSL does seem better run and a better environment. NEP is worried so they are looking for clubs to join them. NECSL travel is no different than NEP.

And NPL is a joke. The quality is so poor. It is essentially dead. NECSL has the EDP pathway which is miles better. Not even close. NEP is half the league it used to be, if that.

Keep telling yourself that. We are in the highest level NEP offers, never traveled farther than 1 hour each way. Kids from NH, MA, and RI travel to CT pretty much every weekend, 2+ each way, and look at the scores. Too many low level clubs in NECSL, that the higher clubs there, seem to have maybe 1 0r 2 good games each session. I'm not paying for that. All New England clubs should join 1 league, and put the top clubs in D1, then D2 etc. But too many people making $ off this, and they don't want to lose control of "their" leagues, so it will never happen. Very Unfortunate

As long as there are players wanting to play, there will be teams within Clubs as part of leagues to cater to them. Either you are in one of them, or you are not. If you are, then it's up to them to decide what's the right place for them. If you are not....why in the world would you care?

You suburban soccer *****s are ruining the game for those who just want to experience the game and have fun doing it.

So many of you are completely off-base.

If we want to be truly honest and factual, the issue is that NEP is highly political and controlled by a handful of member clubs. These Member Clubs (businesses) control which other clubs (competing businesses) get in and which do not. That is very unhealthy. The league construct is about promoting the businesses that ARE members at the expense of the player and the experiences the have, and at the expense of those clubs that ARE NOT members.

Some very strong clubs are not allowed in because NEP member clubs don't want to see them succeed and don't want to compete against them. They are scared.

More than anything else, this is very bad for the game in New England.

Competition is good and is what makes the system work.

              Cartels are anti-competitive by nature.

                  Same thing. Exactly.

                  Closed leagues suck. Period.

                    hahahaa

NECSL literally took off last Fall and all these clubs are promoting it like the Premierleague.

Some of the teams are god awful. literally a start up league.

NEP has the top clubs and the top competition. Juventus, Seacoast and Surf will all come crawling back to the NEP in the Fall. you'll see.

FACT: when clubs have nothing at all to offer their players, they always fall back to promoting their leagues instead of what they are doing. The goal is to distract parents and players from weighing up the club itself. The clubs in NEP have been doing this for years at the expense of what is best for their players.

Kids play 15-20 league games per year, less in NEP.

Many players play 15-30 (or more) tournament games per year.

If your team practices 2x per week, players get roughly 65-70 practices per year.

If your team practices 3x per week, players get 100-110 practices per year.

If your team practices 4x per week, players get 135-150 practices per year.

League play is the smallest factor by far. Think about it.

I thought I was happy with my kid’s ECNL experience, but now that you are pointing out that her club is “promoting” the league just to distract me, I’m going to ignore the coaching, training, and level of competition in games and find her a team in this NECSL. Can you recommend a club?
