Our players from MA end up at D2 and D3 colleges while the D1 spots go to kids coming from other states.

Club owners stop selling your BS excuses. you owe the players more trainings and year round and indoor facilities for the fees they pay.
Sounds like your kid disappointed you. All I can say is "I bet that hurts". Sorry for your frustration. My experience was different. D, and her entire team, did just fine.

Given how sore your bum seems, have you tried Tucks?

Do you want your kid to go to Merrimack or Bowdoin? Kids aren't going pro. Go to the best school with the best price for the family and STFU about all the nutty-soccer-parent richard measuring.

All this typing to find out you are a dolt.

For 2021 Massachusetts has 27 BOYS committed to D1.

            Boys!

That means we must have 40+ girls.

TD shows 30 2021 female commits to D1 from MA. I know of at least 3 others not listed
From all the teams you would expect

Half the players from the top 2-3 teams in MA generally go to D1 programs. Some kids from 2nd level teams do as well, along with a few kids with other backgrounds. It has been like this for many years.

The fact that local colleges are taking kids from all over the country is a reflection of the quality of the schools that we have locally. There are not many regions that offer schools like BU, BC, Northeastern, MIT, Ivies, NESCAC schools, Holy Cross, Providence, in addition to quality state schools. Of course there wouldn't be enough quality soccer players in MA to stock the teams of all those schools.
