LAGSD is now City SC and GAL, not cancelled. Legends and Beach are both GAL and ECNL-R, and there are conflicting reports on where their top teams will play once people start playing soccer again (so as many as 5 of the top 10 here could be GAL).

Legends and Beach are DPL, not GAL, where their 2nd teams will continue to play. 1st teams are ECRL in the hopes of getting promoted next year.

I actually do not fault the clubs for trying to create a league. Not knowing the conversations behind the scenes, it is kinda sad that clubs who a week ago were working with the other clubs just suddenly ditch it but I guess in the end it is everyone for himself. Just the way it is.

In the end, it is US Soccer who screwed the kids over and that should not be forgotten.

Yeah, but let's not forget, USYS offered to create a whole mini-league for former GDA clubs and reached out to many clubs who they had had a decades long relationship with before their 1-2 year blip in GDA. Hubris prevented these clubs from going to USYS, as they wanted something to differentiate themselves (aka too good for USYS now). And to be clear, EVERY SINGLE CLUB in GAL would jump ship in a second if they were invited to play in ECNL. Every. SINGLE. One.
It's not "everyone for himself" it's doing what's best for the club and it's customers, and yes, that is joining ECNL if you have the opportunity.
