Because it is a women's sport and can fly under the radar it does not immediately seem wrong but it is just as offensive as kneeling for our flag. It is an adgenda from a small but vocal segment of the population. If the team is truly representing the USA they should not use the uniform to make a personal statement. The USA is Red, White and Blue.
I agree, they should be wearing thongs and t*tty tassels

Might work for the men. The distraction could prove beneficial. They need to do something.

Legal experts mostly disagree with you. Because standing was never required prior to this controversy in NFL contracts the owners would not be able to enforce it now. In addition, there have been multiple Supreme Court cases stating you cannot be forced to stand for the anthem or sing it or say the pledge of alleigance or whatever else. Free speech. No employer can make you do it. The NFL has said they will no press the issue, mostly likely because they've consulted with legal experts.

How about providing a few of the names of those legal experts and the link where they say what you say they say. Jerry Jones is forcing players to stand. Must be a line of Cowboys with their 'legal expert' lawyers suing Jones, huh?

Dress the men's team up in some sexy little uniforms. They may not play better but they could attract more fans.

It really isn't a constitutional issue, its a contractual issue. They all had contracts when they went into this season, as well as a collective bargaining agreement. Those contracts, if they don't currently contain a specific provision requiring that the players stand for the national anthem will kill any effort by the league or owners to "force" the players to stand. Any judge worth his salt will look at the contracts, find that the players owe no contractual duty to stand and that in the absence of such a requirement the contracts are controlling and govern the employer=employee relationship. Since those contracts typically are multi-year contracts they will have a "zipper clause" - meaning the contracts can't be revised, added to, or renegotiated without the consent of both parties. The owners and league will have to address it during the next collective bargaining session. Whoever wrote the post above is an idiot and has never had an employment contract. However, the Players are always free to choose to stand. Bottom line is that if cops stop shooting black people we'll be better off.

For the NFL bottom line too!

The new and renewal contracts will forever change things.

I don't know when they renegotiate, but if you think the players will budge on this you're nuts. Under current contracts the owners have no case. Under the law the owners have no case. Most importantly, forcing "patriotic acts" isn't democracy, it's fascism.

Bring the teams out after the National Anthem. Fans won't go for the disrespect and will not renew their tickets.
