East Meadow/ World Class Leaving DA?

I was just reading in the Massachusetts forum that East Meadow and World Class are giving p their DA. Any truth behind these rumors?

I've heard that rumor as well but no evidence as yet. GDA has already lost a few clubs and losing more is never a good sign. Some clubs were pretty pissed about the last minute addition of U14 teams. It's not like hiring more coaches, recruiting players and securing fields can happen just like that.

I find it very interesting that there is no GDA discussion at BOTN these days. Yet Surf is begging for GKs at one certain age group, even offering full scholarships, and advertising openings for a few other ages. lol

So what does EM plan on doing? Staying ECNL?
All so interesting with tryouts on the loom.
Lets just hope that everyone shows their true colors before tryouts begin.

No mention of GDA on the EM website. If they're trying to build the program, get tryouts ramped up, don't you think they'd have information on the website for interested players? Other clubs certainly do, many already started tryouts and are naming committed players. World Class has it on their site and also has id information

Which takes you to EM website that makes no mention of GDA. Agree with above poster - any club that is doing GDA would have it on their site along with tryout info etc. It's a big deal for the clubs involved

Don't rely on USSF website info - they didn't have the U14 addition on there for ages; clubs were informed via last minute email. Surprise! You need four teams now, not just three! The fact that they had NYCFC - a MEN'S MLS club - named but linked to the right club shows they're not even doing simple things like proof reading

EM has no DA info but WC most definitely does - although WC lists ECNL first (which is interesting) - lead news story says

World Class FC FREE Player Identification Program

ECNL (Boys & Girls), USSF Development Academy and NPL Teams

Sunday, January 22 and Sunday, January 29

World Class FC will be holding free ID clinics for players interested in gaining a roster position for the 2017/18 season with our National Level Leagues (USSF Development Academy, ECNL and NPL). These ID sessions are for WCFC players and prospective new players that wish to explore our program.

Why wouldn't they state boys and girls da? They specify boys and girls ecnl, but don't specify on da

Who knows - maybe they just aren't even that web savvy. But maybe they are and it's all intentional. EM not having anything speaks volumes. I really do think they're out based on things I've heard. WC is more of a tossup. Maybe they're waiting to see who they can get to join - if the talent isn't committing they might bail last minute. I wouldn't be surprised if a few other clubs do too.
