BC drops another "nail biter" to UVA. 2-1. Even game. Eagles goal called back for offsides infraction. They are nipping at the heels of the upper half of ACC. Likely out of NCAA's because of a few poor early season results. Clearly the best team in New England, but that and $1 at Cumberland Farm only gets you a cup of coffee. There's always next year.

The question for BC is will they qualify for their conference tournament. They have not done so for 4 seasons. The top 8 qualify and BC is currently #10 with one game to play. Clemson and Louisville are the only teams they might pass. Louisville tied UNC today to get its 1 point lead. BC will have to win and hope both of them lose.

UConn has clinched a spot in AAC tournament. Only chance for NCAA spot is for them to win. Not impossible, but not likely. USF + USF are both very good.

It is very possible that no New England team will make the NCAA tourney. UNH has the best shot but even they lost to lowly UMBC yesterday.

With Stars, BB etc in the area, why are the teams not better?

You do have kids from this area playing for programs out of the area which speaks to poor recruiting by local college coaches.
