It is very cool. I definitely want to go to another Vantucky tournament and play a sea of teams wearing my same uniform and calling themselves the same name.

All that you will see in this tournament is Timbers, Timbers, Timbers.

Only Timbers teams from this area because it's for good teams. You will see some other great team from Wa, Idaho, and possibly Nor Cal.

For sure, this tourney is for u12 boys. Last years u11 the top 3 teams by far were eastside, Westside, and Wa timbers. So yes, from the area it should be Timbers, Timbers, Timbers... As the poster suggested.

Careful. It's not for U12 boys. It's for 2002 boys. Not many teams out there that have all of their kids from the same birth year...

The birthdate requirement is interesting. Is it for current U12 teams or teams that will start playing U12 after tryouts in May? If it is for current U 12 teams, any player born between August 1st and December 31 2001 (who can currently can play U12) cannot play. Either way to comply with the birthdate cutoff the teams would probably have mixed rosters from the older U11 and younger U12 age groups (similar cut off as ODP/RTC).

That's because the rest of the world used calendar year ages. Should do that here also to be consistent...

The thing that is pathetic about your response is if this was OPL driven you would be on here crowing about the "great opportunities OPL is providing..." Try to be a little less shallow, the world isn't divided into OPL vs OYSA.

It wasn't divided until the Timbers divided it.

Maybe you were unaware of the divide, but it has been there for more than 5 years. That is when OPL left OYSA. Most recently there hasn't been a new split, just a redistribution of clubs. Unfortunately for newbies it is easy to get confused.

Except for the fact that GW from the Timbers and TA Clubs like WST were the leaders of the last split. You have zero credibility because of this. These people are just manipulating soccer to their own personal gain.

OPL or OYSA.... The TA stuff would be happening. OYSA is just about manipulation and control. It is shameful.

The tournament wasn't good before the split. It will be not be after. Terrible refs. Terrible fields. A few good teams and a ton of rec ish teams.

So, it is all the Timbers fault. Some lovely cave you much be living in.

Go read the OPL History and their break with OYSA.

The OPL control of competitive soccer only lasted from 2008 with U11, 2009 with adding 2009, and 2010 for all levels.

With that, OPL has only mattered for a a few yrs.

Competitive Soccer is moving back to OYSA with the Timbers help. I feel so bad for the OPL.

The OPL is not going to be around to long.

Watch the combined LO and Southside group under Crossfire fall apart (Southside is almost broke taking money from it's Rec program to fund the Competitive coaches and Crossfire).

FC PDX does not have the resources it use to being to top heavy with administration.

Who knows what the ECNL see in THUSC.

The OPL is doomed to fall. Long live OYSA and Timber/Thorns.

Quit putting OYSA along with Timbers/Thorns. The teams themselves could care less about OYSA and probably most players and fans wouldn't even know what OYSA stands for. OYSA uses it for name recognition only and no one who watches MLS or NWLS cares about your little kiddies and their soccer league.
