    2014 MSC Kick-Off Classic

Please join MANHATTAN SOCCER CLUB on February 28th through March 2nd for one of the largest, fastest growing Elite/College Showcase Tournaments in the United States. Our sixth annual event, located in the New York City metropolitan area, promises to be better than ever with highly ranked national and international teams and over 200 college coaches from top athletic and academic institutions expected to attend.

Last year, the MSC Kickoff Classic was one of the top 3 ranked boys tournaments in the country (and ranked 11th combined with the girls side). Only Surf Cup and Disney ranked higher.

My son's team was there last year as well. Played their 2nd game at night, under the lights, in a snow storm. It was brutally cold, and the boys could not pick up the white ball coming down between the lights and the snowflakes....

On the plus side, with that weather you probably won't have to worry about any motorcycle swarms harassing you.

Much of it isn't even in Manhattan but Long Island. Good luck if you have more than one kid playing

What kind of psycho team would even contemplate traveling to NY to play in February?! There's plenty of awful tournament soccer locally at that time of year - and that's assuming that it's not cancelled. Just play indoors until the Spring.

It would be nice to get an applied list?

If your games are in Long Island its not a top bracket.

If your team is in one of the top two brackets it is one of the best tournaments on the east coast. It is too bad they can't play it in April but that would interfere with teams playing Regional schedules. It is especially good for U15-U17. There are a lot of teams that are nationally ranked in the top 20 in attendance for whatever the rankings are worth. There are also college coaches in attendance.
