Wasn't there a coach recently with our mens national team that had his son playing on it too??
Pretty sure if it can work at the highest level then maybe at u16 GIRLS club soccer a dad can coach and do a great job. Bradley was eventually fired but had some good success before and no one bitched bout him being a dad. Maybe just maybe you should sit back and give him a chance or at least look at his résumé before you bash him like the cowards you are

Funny now that you mention it. My first thought 5 years ago when I saw the dad coaching his son on the US National team was, "Gee I wonder if he really has the skill to be on the team or did daddy get him that spot?" I am sure I am not the only one who questioned the son's skills.

There's more to this story than a Daddy coach, but that's clearly one big aspect. Knows he's killing the team, knows his coaching isn't helping his daughter, but he continues. Oh GS's daughter made the national team? National Pool? Region Team? Region Pool? FLA ODP Team? First cut of ODP? LFC U14's? Now he's a coach and she makes ECNL. Right, this is exactly the same as Bob Bradley, what were we thinking wanting a professional paid coach? We already have Bob Bradely Jr!!! His record as coach is 0-3. I think Bob Sr. is better.

Awfully suggestive of you to try to continue to defame GS yet again! Just let it go that your daughter does NOT belong on the u16 team and LEAVE the club. No-one wants you around, plain and simple. Overall, there's just been enough talk about GS and his daughter on here and the above statement is another implication that because he's the coach, his daughter is now on the ECNL team. The 16's need to take this off of talking-socce, handle/discuss it amongst themselves and deal with it appropriately. And honestly, what soccer team doesn't have issues? Everybody just doesn't want to have to hear about every single team's problems, especially the 16s.

He is goalie coach. It was mentioned he was there to evaluate goalies and younger players. Highly doubt he was there to learn a team to take over as he coaches on the boys side and does the goalie training.

No one has a problem with his daughter being on the team.

The only one putting her in a very bad position is her dad. Why would he think or anyone think it would be ok to coach his daughters team in ECNL?

Just because you are a dad does not automatically make you a bad coach. Many pros are dads. Football, baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. Should they not be coaches if they want just because they are dads. Quit using that as a excuse. The one and only question should be is GS qualified to be a coach. How well does he know the game and how well does he deal with the girls. If he is successful on those issues he should be allowed to coach whatever team, if he is not successful with those functions then he should be let go. But quit bashing him only because he is a dad.

He can coach his kids in rec and not ecnl. He has lost almost every single game he has coached so far in ecnl with all age groups. If Im not mistaken his record so far is zero wins, one tie, and nine loses since his first weekend coaching teams at ecnl. Plain and simple the team does not want him coaching the team where his own daughter plays. There are many reasons why he is not the right person to coach this team but I will keep it polite and simple on this site.
