Supposedly a few other non ECNL NPL teams would be allowed in as well. If that brings in a few more local teams = less travel. That would be great.

Except more localized npl has been available for years already. Not sure a new name will cause any new cutomers to materialize. What exactly are they selling that does not already exist? Or are they just lying to get the business of some EDP or npl clubs? Why would there clubs move for a name?

Call me crazy but is you want to go to ecnl showcase events, play in the ecnl. That already exists for kids that want it. Any of those players could already have joined an ecnl team if they were interested.

If ECNL hatches a B league it would simply be a better organized version of NPL. Thinking that they will just double down on the amount of teams in the national events isn’t grounded in reality.

The selling point for college coaches is concentrated talent all playing in one place. Watering it down and having games at multiple sites essentially ruins the events.

If ECNL2 gets off the ground it would be regional and undoubtedly have regional showcase events. Think a large scale event at PDA. That would be a huge draw for D2, D3 and even mid major D1s. Many of these programs have limited budgets for recruiting and travel, this would be ideal.

Get rid of Northeast NPL, EDP and New England NPL and consolidate. ECNL remains the top dog and this would fit for the next tier of players

Doubt it. Edp has some promotion and relegation. May not be ideal for development but the customers love it.

It is very popular. You act as if all these players are looking for exposure. They are looking to play soccer. Some want to play in college and get exposure to make a match and there are lots of existing leagues for that.

As long as you're in the top two brackets it's good competition without all the cost and travel. Not everybody wants that. If you're trying to get recruited it's a tougher road but can be done. But not everyone wants that either. They'd rather play good matches without all the other stuff.

Agree. Envious of EDP families. Top levels seem very competitive without stupid travel. If I had it to do over.....

We were perfectly happy with EDP for our oldest. Recruiting was more challenging but there was more balance in our lives. Our youngest loves her ECNL team and the competition so what can we do? Glad she's the last. But it also depends on what your local options are too
