In the absence of other better systems, this is the best you have.
It is like earning your points and betting them against others in games/tournaments. If there are strong teams, but do not want to earn points by not travelling or not participating in prestige leagues, it is those strong teams problems. Opportunity to earn the points is open to one and all.
If you earn points (Say like dollars), if you fail next time, suddenly you do not lose all that at once, do you? Gradually you may lose when others start working harder for those points!

Something fishy is going on...again...with the Margate team. Someone said they were getting kicked out of FSPL...well it looks like it happened. BUT, and it's a big BUT...it looks as if the Margate B team took their place? The "Margate United Elite FC Elite 98/99 Red" played Cutler Ridge in FSPL yesterday, and looks to have taken over the schedule of the MAU / FC Florida 98 Elite White team:
