He is a good fundraiser and helped get the new facility put together No matter how bad he does they will keep him until he retires. He fired the only brains in the program John D to make it look like it was his fault

High school accolades mean absolutely zero. You will see in a few years who the best players out of CT from how they do in college. You can look back at AA and A NE awards GIVEN to players due to coaches being on the voting committees.

“The AAC is weak”. The only D1 men’s conference with more teams in the Top 50 (RPI) than the AAC in the country is the ACC. The AAC and Big East are tied for 2nd in terms of # of teams in the Top 50. Both have more than the Big 10 or PAC 10.
Uconn will be just fine back in the Big East. They’ll battle for the league championship every year and will be back in the NCAA tourney in year one.
