High school soccer is horrible, My daughter didn’t play HS soccer, instead choose to run xcountry, her choice. Thought that HS soccer was not well coached and too many injuries, Not everyone wants to play HS, some choose to do other sports, everyone has choices, and she still had the experience of competing with her friends... that HS experience that everyone talks about and still able to play soccer with her club

wah wah wah HS soccer sucks. Yes, some of it is terrible. Some coaches are terrible. But some of it's pretty decent and the more successful programs have good coaches with some experience playing or coaching at the club level (not the stereotypical history teacher). More kids want to play than not. In fact the ones that don't play are in the small majority. If that many wanted to escape teams like OW wouldn't struggle to fill their rosters with quality players. If players love it, great. They have an option. Or they can skip the fall altogether if they wan. That was always an option even before GDA. But GAL is a joke at this point and giving up HS soccer for that seems pointless.

Guess you didn’t understand the original post, loves the game but rather than play kick ball with the history teacher coach, she chose another sport, where she can bond with teammates for that high school experience, and enjoy herself rather than the frustrations of learning the game with the history teacher, again not everyone enjoys high school soccer and not every high school is lucky enough to have a REAL coach
