And far from "professionals". Most are part-time and do this babysitting of many teams in their spare time. When you are as "big" as FESA and stack C,D, E, F, G level teams and charge top dollar, you got to assign a body. Just like the players, the FESA coaches are mostly quantity over quality once you get past ECNL teams and even those teams have players that don't belong in ECNL. Like anywhere else, some of the part time coaches are solid and care about their players. Not many.

In the end, nothing wrong with fesa being a low quality "puppy farm" with multiple teams at age developing no one and winning nothing. People know for the most part what they are getting into.

Even the ECNL players are being short changed. One of the girls coaches who has two ECNL teams has 1 total win so far in the fall season. ( also dosent even have a D license!) I’d bet money any “part time” coach at the club could have done a better job.

An A license coach has to be on Roster and bench during ECNL games but that doesn't mean he is the one coaching, he just sits while non A licensed coach coaches team.

This is the problem with the FESA marketing volt koolaid. One fricking part time Tott coach and a thousand FESA teams. Who is really going to benefit from this token non-sense? Take a gander down FESA's Facebook page. A LOT of nonsense but not much about winning many ECNL games or being at top of regional standings. FESA is soo focused on marketing for the almighty dollar, they want their members to focus on anything but the overall poor coaching, lame player development, and losing ECNL.

It comes down to this. FESA wants you to have fun and keep $pending the money. The last thing they want you to question is how good is their coaching and development REALLY? The ECNL record does not lie. Armada's boys are really good. Their girls are pretty lame but one age group but FESA is SO MUCH bigger and better! right?

"For the most part...". Really? You think? These people pay premium dollar for fees, uniforms, travel and a glorified coach to be on a "travel" D team. So proud of their kid. Really? You could pay 25% of the money and have fun playing rec and a better dad coach than this clown coach assigned to your team. And some of these parents at Veterans will claw and scratch behind and over everyone's backs to get their kid from the C team to B team and FE$A plays right along. The best players end up on the best teams but after that, you see a lot of kids with parents so excited to spend that dollar on FESA and gulp down the koolaid like a cult. If Sean Bubb was being honest and having a less sober moment, he would probably tell you that half the families paying for kids to be on travel team are wasting a good bit of their time and hard earned money and have no business trying to play competitive soccer. Let's face it, after the B team, it ain't really all that and many B team players on the edge.
