You must be that disgruntled Fury parent again. The majority of the players on LISC are girls that either played GDA on the team last year, or played GDA on Fury last year. It's easy to check, look at the roster if you so desire. Before last year, there was no GDA so of course they played in other leagues you idiot..

The comment about their skill level still holds...there are a few exceptions, but in general, they are not what GDA quality is supposed to be. Don't make it like it is anymore than it is, basically a walk on.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how uninformed it is. With so many teams on LI of course talented girls are spread out. No team or league has all of them. However, a walk on? Hardly. Talk to some of the girls who did not make the team. People like you also said LISC wouldn't win a game....

And on every team there is a disparity between the players. Someone has to be the best and someone the worst and others in between. However, some kids even the ones who are towards the bottom are in DA because they want to improve and feel this is the best way for them- to practice and compete against a higher level of player rather than be the top player on a lower team.

What you seem to be missing is that LISC *IS* a lower team. The GDA badge is just decoration. This team wouldn't fare well in ECNL and would probably be mid-level in EDP or NPL. Again, many of these kids have made the rounds on other teams, throwing them together and slapping a different patch on their arms doesn't elevate them as players or as a team. Granted, MF is a step up from Maria Logan and actually having a set team instead scrapping 11 different players together each week in between their school games and NPL games, is certainly a better situation but let's not go overboard with the sales pitch here.

I don't remember anyone saying they wouldn't win a game, there's bottom feeders in every division. Beating Empire United isn't really a feather in the cap, my 10 year old's Nycsl team can do that. If people are happy there, cool, be happy. But coming on these sites blabbering about the strength of LISC is literally an invitation for other commenters to weigh in.

LISC is indeed a walk-on situation, there weren't any girls that wanted to be on that team who didn't make it. Stop the smoke and mirrors. The implication that there were players who didn't "make it" is insanely laughable and belongs in the "they kept the players they wanted" (when players were fleeing) fallacy category.

And they were just as weak last year.

OMG SMH. Just let the kids play! It’s all youth soccer in the end. Hope the kids love it, play hard and improve weekly. Parents bragging and parents complaining - You are the ones that spoil it for the kids. Enjoy wherever you selected to have your kid play. DA, ECNL, EDP, School Ball. Who really cares? Stop worrying what anyone else chose and stop worrying what each other thinks about your kid, where they play or how good they are. None of you are even qualified to evaluate. They all will grow, mature, change and you guys will still be acting like middle schoolers attacking each other and teenagers.

Actually, yes. Why else would they join?

I’m sure there were kids would tried out who didn’t make it. So what, they’re not as strong as some other clubs. Jeez so much animosity and bad blood all over the place. Live and
                          Let live I say.

It’s not how you start but how you finish. If they improve over the year that’s all that matters.

and they can improve elsewhere, maybe even more so. Their competition is improving as well, likely more so. If you want DA because you believe in the system, don't care about HS etc that's great. But LISC wouldn't be the club to try and join first.

There is only one other option (with two teams) on LI so oh well.
