Make the move before recruiting age. OW already sucks at college placement and if you think coaches recruit from Benches you've got another thing coming.

It's been an ongoing issue with BDA for years and some clubs don't waiver any players. Combine that with overall disappointment with club performance, coaching, placements and the club is ripe for loads of turnover. That said, since CFCU is essentially locked up by U15 (definitely for ECNL but NPL rosters could take a few) and FSA is a poor performing club, OW players aren't left with many options. Do you stick with GDA or go to FSA ECNL? Neither option is very appealing.

OW will be fine, just as it always has been. If your child plays there and isn't a consistent contributor, ask yourself why. It's likely because the players in front of her are better. If she's not a starter, then she needs to work harder to become one. The GDA isn't about creating a feel-good environment for 25+ players. Toughen up everyone!
You can't buy your daughter's protection, success, or comfort in a competitive forum let alone life.

I know that my daughter is missing the high school experience and is looking at options for next year at FSA or another local club.

The players that left Oakwood are becoming better players because they are playing against better players. Playing at much higher speed of play. Regretting it due to lack of playing time maybe but that’s on them. CFC 2002’s are the best team in CT
