That could save Surf. They need a talent infusion across most teams. NYSC kids are well trained

If their goal really is GDA or ECNL, they should focus all their resources on a Westchester where someone has to step up. Putting around on LI is a waste for them. It's too saturated. Is their semi pro team based out of Westchester? Not sure where they will play games.

WestChester is almost as saturated. NYCFC, World Class, NY Rush

It's all about fields. NYSC should look to merge with WC. This way they get their boys coming out of the academy, and their girls will have a path for better teams after U12.

NYSC did not tell us where the teams will practice (legacy NYSC fields or old FCW fields) and with so many fewer teams, does NYSC Need all the field space???

I did hear a number of parents at the tryouts last night say they are also going to the Surf tryout, not much sense that there would be much opportunties for players not already on the top two teams (legacy NYSC team and the old FCW A team) to find a spot (absent a large attrition of players) This could give Surf an injection of players, not necessarily all top players, but numbers (face it, money) to help Surf build in Westchester.

Some of the families who had been with FCW for a while feel they got the short end in the merger with NYSC, esp those on the teams with the dismissed coach.

This would be a much better point if World Class were in Westchester.

So which coach has left? Was he/she a nysc or few veteran?

Most of the nysc coaches are journeyman and some are already coaching at surf.

It sounds like NYSC will want to focus on limited teams of quality players instead of being a mega club. I am sure Surf will take whoever they can to keep paying their (ex) college coaches.

Speaking of ex-coaches, anyone know how much better Ryan's teams have become under the new banner? Did they attract any new top talent with the takeover?

Rush disbanded last year - you missed that memo - you should read BOTN to keep up to date...

Larry is a complete shill for Surf. Every other post is him defending Frey as DOC. So desperate to get any players to Surf tryouts. What ever happened to Sue Ryan? Surf will be lined up to get third tier kids cut by bigger programs. Not to mention they charge $3000.
