New England EDP - New USYS Regional League Structure

    https://www.soccerwire.com/news/club...ram-structure/

How will this league fit into the New England soccer league landscape?

Somewhere towards the bottom. It's national MAPLE soccer.

What premier clubs are still even affiliated with USYS??? Haven’t they all gone US Club? Will this be for travel teams only? Having a hard time grasping a need for USYS to host any club leagues, let alone a new one.

WTPh, USYS haven't folded up their tents yet? What's next, ODP 2.0?

That's not entirely true. While in MA there are few teams from NSL that can compete on the highest level in MA, this is truly just a rebranding of the ERL, which hosts the top teams in Region 1. This "new league" already exists, it's just that it accommodates more competition from the lesser states (like MA) by dividing what was Region 1 into different conferences, two strong and one weak one.

Boys' top league is DAP. Not playing in that league by age 14? You're fVcked!

2-3 solid NEP clubs looking to join the new EDP framework. With all the mergers going on the standard of play is worse than Maple was 5 years ago.

If this gains any traction, NEP becomes 4th tier 7 game spring Maple for HS age.

That's already the case. At least in MAPLE there are still great players, who are at the top of their clubs, as opposed to NEP where most decent players will be moved to a "higher level."

Did I miss the MAPLE college commit list?

There were several D1 players last year.

Please show them, as I am curious.

I don't mean someone who started out in MAPLE...someone who finished there and was recruited out of a MAPLE program straight to D1.
