If that’s the only reason you may be right but if it is one of many reasons there is nothing wrong with it

I don't think many are using soccer for $ but it certainly is a nice bonus. If a coach isn't offering you much $ it's a sign he may not be that into you. Few will get a full ride, but if you're getting 25% or less then you should really re-assess the likelihood you'll be playing. Obviously with D3 there's no money but for many families if soccer helps them get into a great school they're good with that

.Not true They give merit based scholarships ,student can receive more than one type .Also give financial aid so in total can amount to more than an atheletic based only D1 scholarship .

yes but we're talking just athletic. D1 schools give merit too but there's rules about stacking it with athletic $

yea you cant give so much that you have to pay the kid, but if they want you really bad (ie Hoops at Kentucky) that guy doesnt pay for a soda on campus

Stop the Madness, these kids from CT are not playing soccer on a full ride. The Bsc kid that went to ND some years ago a possible- he was also a 10th or 11th draft pick ,-that’s how high the bar would be if full ride Paper is being handed out.

That is true. The state has few top players. Its just reality. But most middle to upper income soccer families care more about getting into a good school. If they get half off they're thrilled and can afford the rest
