Why no college coaches at tonight's game?

Odd, I would have thought beachside boys higher, and CFC/OW girls higher. is this just for colleges in CT? or all D1 but for CT clubs? I'm thrown off by "in Connecticut"

Odd? I would have thought that CCSU, QU, SHU, UCONN, UHART, and Yale would have more than just 114 kids on their rosters (considering that they each have at least 25 kids on their roster). Those are the six D1 programs in our state. Add in UB and UNH for D2.

So my daughter plays at Glastonbury and her friends play at Oakwood academy. We went to the NYSC/Oakwood U18 friendly Sunday night and at that game I saw 6 college coaches talking to players for both teams after the game. I didn't see any college coaches at tonight's game with 2 of the top 6 teams in the state playing and was suprised.

Not for nothing, if there were college coaches at a U18 game, they must be from Northern Iowa State and Eastern Arkansas at this point.

OW's U19 team is all 01s and a few 00s, so almost all seniors and a few juniors who should be done with recruiting. NYSC has quite a few 02s who are juniors and even sophomores who may not be finished

Really? Questioning the accuracy of your thorough investigation. I can think of 2 OW freshmen girls right off the top of my head at UHART and FU.

High school soccer sucks. Why waste their time coming to watch bad soccer when the best kids will be playing in Thanksgiving club showcases

My daughter's HS team (which isn't good) had coaches watching several games this fall. Some local and some from out of state. Of course they were there to watch one kid. Not sure if she invited them or they came on their own. These were midweek games and not even against great opponents. I was impressed they took the time. Three different D1 programs.

Lets give it a try...

There are 7 Div I Womens Soccer Programs in CT
Uconn, Ccsu, Hartford, Fairfield, Yale, Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac

Only 2 of those schools had a winning season this year (and of course that list did not include the school that SC coaches at)

Those 2 schools:
Hartford - 1 from FSA, 0 from CFC
Ccsu - 7 from FSA, 2 from CFC

So there are 4 times as many FSA girls playing soccer in CT on winning programs than CFC girls

Those stats are correct, you can make these things say anything you want
