Region 1 vs ENPL or even ECNL

    http://tournaments.usyouthsoccer.org...Championships/
    http://championships.usyouthsoccer.o...championships/

    vs.

    http://enpl.demosphere.com/

Is there any comparison between these two leagues?
It would seem by the list of leagues, teams and college coaches attending that US Region 1 soccer is still a big deal and bigger than NPL or ECNL...or the EPNL

EPNL us a tournament not a league. It consists of teams from EcNL and NPL

These are the primary "National.Championships" for girls - please.add what i forgot

      DA - San Diego (Oceanside)
      ECNL - Seattle (Redmond)
      USYS Nationals - Dallas (Frisco)
      NPL finals - Denver (Aurora)
      US Club National Cup (Aurora)

Whichever one your player is in, is the best one

ECNL Final Four ("National Championships") is actually in Richmond this coming weekend.

Yes, another two-tiered playoff designed to bilk even MORE money from families. Seattle for playoffs, Virginia for finals. WTH, totally ridiculous. There is absolutely NO reason to not do them all at one location other than the league, venues, and clubs all wanting their kickbacks from the travel & hotel stays that parents fund. Wake up people! Stop being a pawn.

Ok, I woke up. What do you recommend as a better pathway?

              Yup.
USYS and US Club each have regional events prior to Nationals.
Most options require two trips. GDA was one, but that is more than offset by in-season travel. Pick your poison.

Our poison is NPL. Much easier league travel, one air travel showcase and the rest drivable. And national championship all in one location. And in the end my kid is playing in college next to a bunch of kids who traveled the country spending a fortune to wear a fancy badge. It’s the most reasonable pathway for 95% of the players out there, but too many parents are driven by ego and bragging rights to chase GDA or ECNL labels. Just don’t bitch about the cost/travel because you chose it.
