Just saw that on the news - a former Thai Navy seal who volunteered to help. Shows just how dangerous the situation is,.

They're starting to bring them out, one by one with two divers with each boy. Hoping this ends well for all.

A nation and world are waiting. Eleven hour round trip for the teams of divers to extract them one by one. The conditions are the best today with them being able to walk through three of the chambers. Oxygen is low in the cave and heavy rains predicted will seal off the cave through October so today is D day.

Eight are out but things are on pause. Why aren't there more divers and full oxygen tanks to get them out before the floods come again?

Parents are displaying true team bonding by standing together until the last boy is out, not knowing which boys have been rescued until the end.

They have to have crazy amount of tanks for all the divers and boys. It's a 2.5 mile trek, much of it under water. Some of the boys can't swim, none know how to dive. It's a frightening situation in which you will use up oxygen faster as you breathe more quickly. They have to have multiple tanks along the way to change out because it's too far. The passage way is also very narrow, one slender person at a time only. They take one kid out with a diver in front of a child and another behind them . They won't start another child until one is out in case of a bottleneck. Getting four out takes an entire day.

Yes I had the radio on driving home. :)

The last three exit passages are drained for walking out through the water but more rain is expected.

The divers need recovery rest time up to 20 hrs.

Great job by the entire rescue team and the boys for staying strong through it all. The coach made a stupid decision to go in, but clearly he helped keep them motivated also.

The parents were a true team. Until the last boy exited they agreed to not find out who was out and go to the hospital together only at the end of the rescue operation.
