That is great. Hope things go well for him and they actually give him a shot on the first team. Don't care to hear they've loaned him to some USL team 2 months from now. If MLS Academies really want to be taken seriously they need to start getting their kids time on the field and not on the bench.

From site referenced above:
"These figures include compensation from each player’s contract with MLS. They do not include any compensation from any contracts with individual teams or their affiliates"

- 7 players made more than $5mm in total compensation
- 17 players > $2mm
- 50 players > $1mm
- 145 players > $500k
All players make around at least the median household income for the US.
I also don't think this includes any team-based compensation (above are MLS salaries as MLS controls all contracts) or any external comp (e.g. promotional).

83 makes 60.1 to $80K
You get the idea. The low paid guys aren't making a nickel on endorsements. There's a huge pay disparity gap in MLS soccer. At some clubs the top 3 players can account for 70% or more of a team's total salary. That is a sharp contrast to international tams where it's more often in the mid 30's. https://the18.com/soccer-news/mls-co...ers-salary-cap. Soccer also has the shortest average career span of any US sport, only 2.5 years https://www.americansocceranalysis.c...ingmlssalaries
