no one said bigger stronger faster we are talking about athletic ! a kid playing soccer would not lift weights like if he was playing American football. A skilled american football player if started playing football at a young age with correct training would beat out most of the kids that play on your sons da team and travel teams.SORRY TO BURST YOUR BUBBLE SOCCER IS NOT THAT HARD OF A SPORT TO UNDERSTAND AND PLAY

You can't tell me that if odell decided to continue to develop in soccer that he wouldn't be one of our top soccer players here in the us. Most of the running backs in the nfl or point guards/shooting guards in the nba would destroy the current products the us has for top soccer players if they would have devoted the time to soccer when young. They are just better athletes, period.

Yeah, if Bo Jackson would have played soccer ... he would have been a fast soccer player, no doubt. BUT would he have been a great soccer player? Who knows...its ridiculous to infer that Bo Jackson would have been a Pele ... when he could have just been another Altidore. You have to be a good soccer player first ... a good athelete second.

So imagine if we take are top athletes and allowed them to develop in soccer, they would not only have the same soccer skills as the rest of the world but will also be bigger, stronger, faster than them. Seems like we would have a fair chance at that point.

But sure the best athletes is what's missing.
How many African countries are in the FIFA top 25, I would estimate they are more athletic than European, South American, and Asian teams?
You only need to be athletic enough, to be a world class soccer player technical and cognitive skills make the difference.

And that's over multiple sports.

And those athlete wouldn't have the same soccer kills as other countries, that's the problem, we don't develop physical and mental soccer skills to the level of Spain, Germany, etc. Look at the teams in our Hex, do you think Trinidad and Tabago beat the U.S. because Lebron and Steph were getting ready for the NBA. Nope.
