Path to Bayern - well my little ones have a path to Harvard. The odds are quite daunting, but I suspect they are much better than a franchise customer in Oregon ever suiting up for Bayern.

You have a very limited view. If they were that good, they'd have quality fields, quality scrimmages and participate in a quality league. You are going "all-in" on GPS. Good for you. Just know that it's "all-or-nothing" unless you are part of the elite 3 that remain. They have a chance, the rest of you are gonna get hosed!

That is all GPS is...a franchise. MJ needed something to sell besides himself. Now he is selling Bayern shirts and taking the kick-back. Scam all the way around. Funny how 3 English guys are now working for a German outfit when England has the best clubs and leagues.

Every time somebody exposes MJ the Thornz and ECNL threads go wild. Nice deflection.

I thought HSC was providing them fields, has that totally fallen apart?

            Also,

Does anyone actually know of a player going to Bayern via GPS?

GPS Oregon won't get your kid into college, won't get your kid into pro's, and certainly won't put you in the best position for either of the aforementioned. It's a one-off club that allows 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier athletes to experience somewhat similar experiences as the top tier. Failed alliances, failed attempts to get scrimmages and lack of opportunities outside of GPS should be your first indication that there's a flaw in the program.

The chorus for the GPS Oregon theme song goes like this, "Everyday, I'm shuffling...." because you'll never end up where you were promised and you'll never get the product you were sold.

False. Kids are getting products they were sold...primarily excellent training and learning the right way to play the game. They also learn respect for the game, their teammates, and opponents. If you want to play bootball / thugball and be surrounded by ill mannered Divas go to a Timbers Alliance club.

The right way? How many referees has MJ berated in his short time in Oregon, how many clubs has been burned bridges with?

How many canned, unsolicited emails has this group sent to kids at other clubs?

The right way, that is a good one.

He's a good coach, my son had him for some group trainings and camps, he always enjoyed it and got a bunch out of it.

That said, not sure how he is as a DOC and administrator. Seems to have trouble holding onto relationships, and fields. Looks to have burned bridges with HSC and their fields, SoccerPlex, and now Eastmoreland.

Are these guys even a registered club in OYSA? Aren’t there minimum standards?

don’t see GPS listed on the OYSA website.

People think he is a good coach but not a quality person. What is a good if not a quality role model for our kids? When he does not get his way he berates officials, swears at people and gets removed from games and jobs, but people think he is a ‘good coach’ because he can do a few tricks with the ball.

Would you hire him at your business to represent you? No, but you have no problem allowing him to influence your kid?

Check the OP, Captain Numbnutz, it was 6 hours ago. But yes, there is one from 2 weeks ago, 4 weeks ago, 2 months ago, 6 months ago, etc, etc, hence my post.

I have never seen the actions you described above. Except the tricks with a ball.
