Or do you count the team party too?

I suspect most florida teams are in this same boat. Always, the players in the lower end of the spectrum feel slighted on playing time and start to become disenfranchised. Reality is...they should feel happy to be there in the first place or just play on a lower level team and give somebody less entitled feeling a chance at their spot.

Prior to my daughter signing the DA form, she READ IT and it stated that she had to check off one of two boxes.
1. Play HS and sit out of DA for a period of time
2. Not Play HS and play a full DA season
She made her decision and that was that. That was the time for the coaching staff to evaluate who they would have available during HS season and who would have to step in to cover. So those that checked off #2 should hold true to their commitment. Mommy and Daddy are not doing them any favors (Especially at this age) by allowing them to go back on their commitments.
So all the BS chatter back and forth between folks here is stupid. Which box did your child check off? Hold to it. Simple.
All of this confusion is a direct result of spineless, gutless leadership at the club.
They created this drama, not the players, not the parents. The responsible party needs to own this dumpster fire.

Let us not forget the said form originaly stated birth year 03s were not allowed to play school sports. So there was no option for them to check at that time. Later the decision was changed and they were permitted to play. However, no revised form was ever forth comming nor were any inquiries made by the club on the subject at that point.

Simple process. Player calls, text, or emails their coach. "My team lost we are done." Coach/Club, "Ok, I will see you at our next practice."
You are free to use this for the club procedure

[QUOTE=Unregistered;2130088]Why would the club have to keep track? Wouldn't the player know when their team's season is over? Wouldn't the club want this player and others playing HS back as soon as they are available again instead making them wait to return for no reason?

So at every game, every player from each time would need to be verified to be eligible?

Or you do what real GDA clubs do like TH, OC & Concorde & don't allow HS soccer at all, period.
No vagueness, no guessing & no drama.
No silly forms at tryouts, no parent meetings during HS tryout weeks.
You are either in DA or you are out, no HS soccer allowed.
Notice there is not any Knots Landing type of girl drama at those clubs about HS.
The director set the tone from the beginning & had a backbone.

More importantly if a player' team season was over why would that have to be kept track of in the first place? Why would the player lie about that? Then lastly and something you still have not answered why does the club want to hold any player out longer than they have to?

Why? The club has what 60 to 70 DA players let's say 20 are playing HS at 10 or 15 different schools. So that is all they would be deeling with.
