Wait? Hasn’t Seacoast graduated a couple players into the Seattle Sounders residency program? Seacoast 2, Massachusetts 0?

That’s why Seacoast sends them to Seattle, to get them as far away as possible from that dumpster fire in Foxboro.

And that’s a great example of why Seacoast sucks if ur in the DA you are there to compete not just give away all your good players!!!

Wow you’re stupid. What meaning of the word development in development academy do you not understand? Seacoast did their job they developed their players to the point they grew to move to another level. You are not there to compete you are there to support the growth of the players in your organization. They actively supported and helped their players move both the Sounders academy as well as the union academy.

Oh man....you don't know what you don't know. Might want to peruse the Revs need to make changes thread.....when you educate yourself we will all accept your humble apology for the stupidity of this post.

100% Agree. Any dumb***** that thinks Seacoast sucks because they got several kids into the top 2 Academies in the entire country rather than stunt their growth so his ego can be stroked by a win should just peel out of the entire system. Clearly not in tune with fact that Seacoast actually helps each kid meet their highest level.

Does this signal the end for GPS NS? NEFC NS? Aztec NS? Are they all going to merge? Might as well in order to pool the best players...Seacoast seems a logical destination choice as it’s much bigger than those regional teams
/Aztecs and if they are playing in Northern MA like OP says/people are saying then makes sense for a merge.

Not for money or notiriaty but for the players I think this would make a ton of sense...but making sense never seems to work in youth sport.

The regions usually fold for the big clubs within a few years. They are money makers for their main region and that's about it. When the parents and coaches figure out they have been duped they usually leave.

DA is not profitable. Most of the players don't pay. The regions exists to support the DA financially and maybe a send a player here or there to their central region.

NEFC NS is one of the most successful regions for the club. It’s not going anywhere.

The best kids in the NS should stick and go to one team. There are U16 boys driving hours to Mendon, Newton, etc for ECNL, NPL, etc. Not sure about the other age groups but if they could put a good team in place in the NS people wouldn't have to drive around as much

This has been the goal for a while now...the north shore of MA has not had a club with a stable foot hold for a long, long time, maybe Seacoast moving in can finally fill the void. Having NPL teams accessible and jumping into a fragmented region seems to be a good start.

Merging and low quality coaches/not enough coaches (North shore United/GPS) Unstable ownership, constant turnover of staff (Aztecs), questionable characters on coaching staff, (NEFC North), the rest were just glorified town teams or “give us your money will will get you a uniform” type clubs...they have had it all!
