Hahahaha 3-4 clubs doesn’t even compare to 90% of the teams that left Ecnl.

Ecnl is literally a joke and everyone talks about how it’s packed with B and C team players.

Sorry but you don’t get to say you are cool because you scam people for money.

You are either kidding or extremely ignorant. The few ECNL clubs who went GDA did both and only a couple actually left the ECNL for GDA. A couple were also kicked out of the ECNL like Surf.

Crossfire Premier would not be leaving the GDA if the competition was there. The FACT is that the league is weak and inconsistent. The format and restrictions make it worse. Making it EVEN WORSE is the misguided purpose which is USWNT and pro soccer while ECNL is focused on collegiate soccer and also a pathway for USWNT and pros.

Let’s also acknowledge the FACT that MLS teams are trying to abandon the DA, which also means they have absolutely NO real interest in GDA.

Wake up and stop posting nonsense.

Oh yea..... this old lie. The cost of ECNL is due to travel. The only scam is the Timbers patch which has been skimming money out of Oregon Youth soccer for years.

Exactly. ECNL club dues are actually consistent with other area clubs. Travel is not free and you don't pay if you don't/can't go. With bulk travel rates, travel costs are kept to a minimum.

First your percentage is way, way off. There was also a large number of NPL clubs that entered and GDA is adding more. They are not top clubs, not even close. Then you failed to mention how many top clubs chose to return to ECNL including the best club in SoCal, the supposed gold standard for GDA. Costs are similar, travel is similar, competition similar (depending on region. A few are good, a few very poor)) but GDA is much more restrictive. For 99% of the players who only care about college, not NT accolades, they'll pick what works for them. For many that will be ECNL

The vast majority are figuring this out. With at least 90% of players better off in ECNL, there will continue to be big top club defections from GDA. Don’t forget, there were also some top national level clubs that turned down GDA from the beginning - they saw that GDA was too restrictive and wasn’t best for most of their top players. When ECNL goes to HS graduation year age groups, many many more players will pick ECNL over GDA. There are simply thousands more girls going to college soccer each year than the handful going to national teams.

Is ECNL is going back to grad year? And when? Rumor has popped up several times and makes sense but does not seem to be any supporting evidence on the ECNL website.

I'ts been rumored but no, nothing official yet. If they're going to do it they'd need to do it this month. Most clubs start "pre-tryouts" soon and would want to know what their needs are.

...and the 05's bailed last year and 06's are next. Try as they may, the bleeding continues.

You just never stop. And never learn. A few 05s left and the team is doing just fine without them and the drama that left when they left makes the experience so much better. And the 06s are very happy. I doubt a single one leaves. But think what you want.

I wonder if they 05s that bailed have forgotten what it's like to win a game.

                          Cu05 & cu06

CU05s have been very successful, despite the exodus of some quality players to Thorns. They are 5-0 in ECNL, and 1-1-1 in crossover games from the fall.

                          03 Mar 19 WASHINGTON PREMEIR ECNL 3 - 1
                          02 Mar 19 CROSSFIRE PREMIER ECNL 10 - 1
                          03 Feb 19 SEATTLE UNITED ECNL 3 - 1
                          02 Feb 19 PACIFIC NORTHWEST SC ECNL 8 - 0
                          19 Jan 19 WASHINGTON PREMIER FC ECNL 1 - 0
                          ECNL Crossover Games 2018
                          08 Oct 18 STING SC DALLAS ECNL 1 - 0
                          07 Oct 18 SAN JUAN SC ECNL 1 - 2
                          06 Oct 18 SO CAL BLUES SC KALE ECNL 0 - 0

CU06s, who are playing their first season, have won 5 straight ECNL league games, and they only lost one of their fall crossover games.

                          03 Mar 19 WASHINGTON PREMIER 1 - 0
                          02 Mar 19 CROSSFIRE PREMIER ECNL 4 - 1
                          03 Feb 19 SEATTLE UNITED ECNL 2 - 1
                          02 Feb 19 PACIFIC NORTHWEST SC ECNL 4 - 0
                          19 Jan 19 WASHINGTON PREMIER FC ECNL 3 - 2
                          ECNL Crossover Games
                          08 Oct 18 TSC HURRICANE ECNL 1 - 2
                          07 Oct 18 MUSTANG SC ECNL 3 - 2
                          06 Oct 18 UTAH AVALANCHE ECNL 2 - 1

OK, now tee up the criticisms of how weak ECNL is, but “back water” Oregon is winning, even against high quality teams like Mustang.

What’s funny is Thorns will be ECNL within next 2 years, and CU will be the top ECNL club in the Northwest. How do you square that away if you left CU for an inferior program. Jersey’s and patches are cool, but I’ll take wins, prestige and tittles.

What’s funny is thinking the Thorns could even get into the ECNL.

ECNL has low standards, if you haven't noticed.
