On that given day, when someone finally notices that at some point this year, last year, or the next year after two years from now...quietly, and without splashy Instagram posts, or town hall meetings, your club had a secret vote, that at some point, the Board of Directors, in a very leagal, but unethical way, voted overwhelmingly that FESA will be a "for profit" club... Think it can't happen...it has happened before, and under the current circumstances, bunch of businessmen "own" your club as it is...no BOD elections, the members don't even have kids playing in the league...so then...what's the motivation? Generosity? Altruistic motives? Sense of duty to elevate the game? Fools all of you. I have a crystal ball...and it tells me your league isn't big enough yet...last we knew, FESA cleared 4 million? Cut between each BOD member and of course Bubb...after taxes? Not much of a pay day...this is the long con...the one that'll make all of them rich...good luck on your next BOD elections...my guess is there will be no elections, and the same people will be running FESA today, and tomorrow.

Follow the money............ Since FESA is a major partner of taxpayer subsidized County fields, does the county require their tax returns or any other documentation that may shed some sunshine on the darkness of FESA governance? What about background checks on Board members who vote themselves in office year after year after year long after their kids stop playing??

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostSome of it could happen but Boards must protect their leaders for the club's mission to continue. Just once in awhile a Board believes in and sticks around for the future good of the club and the communities it serves. However, if something unethical were to take place like taking a founding charter of nonprofit Creeks and secretly changing it to a for profit club then the board and Bubb would all be taken down by the membership.
1) it is the opposite; Boards are not there to protect leaders, they are there to ensure they are held do real accountability. This does not happen with these youth soccer clubs when parents get on the Boards, and the Leaders take care of their kid so the Board is happy with said leaders. And worse when kids don't play any more but Board members hang around for nefarious reasons.
2) CAA is a independent club and still exists in St. Johns county running various youth programs. They basically outsourced soccer to FESA, whatever sort of entity it is, but that does not mean FESA uses CAA charter, not-for-profit or anything else. Mainly access to Veterans fields. If the governance of FESA seems shady, it is because it is. Bubb has burned more than a few clubs in his past. It is in his interest to work with rigged Board of puppets rather than have to answer to the membership at-large. At FESA, it is all about numbers and money. The more the merrier. The problem is that them more sprawling FESA has become with far flung club mergers and USL, etc., the more distracted they are from serving or giving a real shiote about its local, core youth-soccer customers at Veterans. Things eventually will spiral out of control and implode. Until then, the charade goes on..........

Armada please keep your current board in place and coaching leadership in place for the next 2 yrs. you are doing a great job helping the community in providing players to all the other clubs. Which is a huge financial help. For that we thank you.
And lastly thank you for giving our teams in North Florida the opportunity to collect easy wins. It’s great for the the kids and the teams confidence at the other clubs. When times start to get financially hard. Don’t worry the other clubs I’m sure will help contribute to ease the financial burden your going to feel. On one condition they will help. Keep your current board in place and coaching leadership. Thank you for all you do in our community.
