Then why did they put them on that all in list?

Totally agree they're terrible and never should have been in to begin with (shows how desperate USSF was). But now there's fewer clubs to play so you'll be playing the few teams that are left more times - what play OW 4 times?

If that is a more competitive game then why not? I am on the fence about gda and that would make it much more appealing in my assessment. Closer, more competitive games..what is the downside? The clubs become training partners to one another and not just competitors

That really is what GDA should move towards -- eliminate weekly league games that count towards standings, but play local teams still have matches in a game format (with refs even). The subbing rules could be relaxed for those non-league games. Then maybe once a month have regional round robin games with other clubs in the division.

If they weren't there, then they would effectively be announcing it.

The GDA is getting weaker in all areas except for CA. There are a lot of clubs in the DA with -30 or more goals, several are as high as -80. This is not good competition for the top clubs. US soccer screwed this up major and nobody wants to admit it. They had a chance to work with the ECNL and would have got teams that need to be in like Breakers. Wait, they were in the ECNL but choose GDA. This is what happens when you try to make a power play and it does not work.

Now they want to do biogender or what ever they call it so the small players feel like they belong even though they are 2 or 3 years older. Really smart having players play down. US soccer in this country is a joke, would love to see competition for being the national team between us club and us soccer. Club would kick their ass.

The national team staff is a joke. People think the ECNL is a good old boys network us soccer is worse. Take this how you want but stick to ODP and get out of running leagues. Also all boys DA should be MLS clubs and follow what every other country does. Own it’s academy players and sell them to other clubs to make money. I even think on the girls side this should be how it works. You train them at young ages for players to go to other clubs with out a return on investment. If you want my 02 superstar you can have her for $20,000. This would make clubs reevaluate how they train at the younger ages. They best coaches would be there and not the Foreign speaking green cards that don’t know the game because they could not get jobs in football in their own country. Sorry for going on a tangent.

Are these all the clubs that have both this year?

                  Stars
                  PDA
                  NTH-Tophat
                  Eclipse
                  FC Dallas
                  Dallas Texans
Slammers (GDA is JV with LAFC)
                  So Cal Blues
North Carolina Courage and Orlando City/Pride also field teams in both GDA and ECNL.

We don't buy and sell kids here which is good but is why we will never find and develop our soccer talent like other places

Was it good that we don’t have contracts with players. I am not talking about selling them across the country but with all the clubs if they want to go from Stars to Breakers or GPS then the club needs to pay a price for the player to be released.

If you don't believe, no big deal, the truth will come out. Overall it's not that big of a deal anyway. Another solid club out of the DA and another solid club added to ECNL. DA will be fine in other conferences but yeah, it's looking kinda bleak for the midwest.
If true, at first glance, maybe not a big deal.

But this is an MLS affiliated club dumping GDA? If it happens, the Midwest GDA division is toast. I think it is actually a medium-sized deal, if not more.

But it's similar to NYCFC - it's MEN'S MLS (not that NYCFC is dropping out). Yes it gives a GDA club street cred but that doesn't mean the organization does or doesn't think being in girls soccer is worth their while.

Woohoo, a bottom DA team leaves.
