Exactly. A Crusaders parent who vigilantly defends Stars and Scorps from btdt. Makes sense.

What are the club fees for CSU?

How many tournaments does it include and how are the coach's travel expenses covered?

Here are a couple more questions.

What was the reasoning given for going to such an expensive tournament?

Are there any college prospects that might have benefitted from making the trip.

Per the club's website the fee is $1,250 which includes 2 tournaments. Doesn't include uniforms. Doesn't mention how the coach's travel is handled.

How would any parent from another club know whether players on the team contacted college coaches or not?

OCDman's gay bashing is catching up with him.

Who suggested the tournament? Parents or coach? According to GotSoccer the team did 5 tournaments last year so the families had to split the cost of those three tournaments plus the travel costs for two out of state tournaments. Figure the travel expenses at around $3,000 and the extra tournaments at $2,400. That all adds up to some pretty expensive soccer vacations.

Didn't you happen to read that I said I was "guessing" at a scenario??? For all I now the whole team went D1 but I'm sure btdt knows otherwise because he wouldn't be spanking the crap out of this and demanding to review everyone's assets in his determination of how ludicrous the trip was.

So you are just guessing. Wonder how many believe your guess is accurate that the parents had absolutely no end game in mind when the took that trip? Wonder how many believe the parents took the trip because the believed that it would give their daughter exposure to college coaches?

Forget the expense, the bigger question is did the trip work? Usually the only U15's drawing attention at a Christmas tournament are the high level D1 prospects. Are there any of those on that team? If not the trip was likely a bust... and then it was expensive.

It is rather interesting that none of what the clubs do can be discussed let alone questioned. That by itself should tell everyone who some of these "pro club" posters are. They sure aren't parents.

btdt, I'm sure your instinct is correct, especially given your knowledge of this age group. So it was a complete and total bust. Should the Dads serve a few years at Walpole and the Moms a few at MCI-Framingham? Maybe you could be hired by MYSA and USYSA as a middleman who must approve all trips and expenditures over $100.

Nope, just another rinky-dink parent, as you already know.

Why don't we use NEFC as the touchtone for all of your important questions. Let's go through the travel and expenditures for all teams in each group, A-F. My guess is that even most of the NEFC parents know that they are promised nothing and that most in it because their kids enjoy it and they want to get better at the sport they love.

Yes we all know that no "parents" are going to be pro spending as well as agree that coaches shouldn't be expected to speak us and cut our kids any time they find a player they think is incrementally better.

2- That the Crusaders took a low level U15 team down to the Orange Classic last year
Maybe Chubby wanted a free trip to Florida. This team was about to give him his greatest success as a coach by almost getting to the RR of the state cup. Maybe the trip helped.

This says so much about how ridiculous the who thing was.
