Yes, but isn't the reason he made this ruling was because Congress nixed the individual mandate? Had the individual mandate been left in place, would this ruling have occurred?

It’s only a matter of time. The biggest question is when. Folks may need to be patient and wait until he’s out of office but he has too many fronts to battle to keep from doing time.

The GOP can dig it's own grave if they fight fixing it. You can't leave millions with no healthcare and more importantly you can't strip away protections for pre-existing conditions. Nearly HALF of all Americans have at least one pre-existing condition. Have a kid in grad school who needs healthcare? That'd be gone too. The ACA needs reform, no doubt, it has many flaws. But the GOP has had over 8 years to come up with solutions to the ACA and they've done nothing, zero, nada. Let this go away and they're dead.

Here’s a thought. Instead of the Dems drawing a line in the sand and refusing to work with Trump, and the GOP sitting on their hands doing nothing to fix something that is clearly broken—how about the work together to find a SOLUTION. They should shut down the part of the Gov that pays Congress it’s salary. Most useless people on the planet. Let’s spend $25 million on an investigation that goes nowhere, but do nothing else of substance. It’s a joke.

The ridiculous costs of medical care start with malpractice insurance costs. Lower insurance costs by cutting back on the frivolous law suits. Lower medical costs so that insurance costs can come down and the companies don’t fear pre existing conditions.

Regulation is what needs to be done. The rest will take care of itself.

I'll add: Take "for profit" out of all medical care and insurance. If all you care about is shareholder return and the bottom line, guess what happens. Also, let insurance companies compete across state lines so they can negotiate better deals with providers and rug companies. Create one nationwide ACA -like plan for those who can't get employer sponsored plans (instead of state by state where there's no scale). Let Medicare and Medicaid negotiate with drug companies as one giant behemoth.

In addition - ramp up funding for nursing and medical students. We are facing a huge shortage for both because the cost of attending has gotten out of control. Expand programs a few states have where you go to med school for free but have to serve in rural or poor communities for 3-5 years. No one can afford to do general practice medicine because it doesn't pay like specialties do. Pediatrics has an acute shortage of male pediatricians because they don't get paid enough to support a family. GPs and Peds are the first line of defense to prevent more serious and costly issues later on. Expand nursing programs - there aren't enough of them and they recently changed certain qualifications making many experienced nurses unqualified for certain things unless they go back to school again.
