The teams work out their own schedules based on the seeding. They have to play by a certain date so the next round can happen.

True but some of these higher ranked teams love to play FL Cup to beef up their rankings to impress members and potential new members.

Wouldn't quite put Petrov in higher talent but TBU ECNL teams has no business in FL Cup. I thought ECNL teams play other ECNL teams because they are elite level teams.

Agree 100%.
Then TBU ECNL or for that matter any ECNL team should not be playing. TBUs ECNL teams are also made up of some past DA players.

what an arrogant jerk. Soccer is only youth sport I see such parental disdain of kids playing the sport and a belief their kids team is so special. Other than DA clubs that have very strong 2nd teams, any clubs 2nd, 3rd, and 4th teams would be slaughtered by some of the teams playing in Florida cup. I see many top 10 teams in the brackets and even more top 20 teams. Just like State Cup there are also weak teams. If your kid is playing DA good for him. It is the best level of youth soccer for boys and the best place to develop and get recruited. Playing DA is just not as special as you believe. Lots of players talented enough to play DA choose not to for a myriad of reasons. As to boys ECNL, many top ten regular club teams are competitive with and can beat ECNL teams. Once your kid is done with youth soccer and no longer playing you will realize it was all "rec" (as DA and ECNL parents like to derisively refer to all other players) and was a nice chapter in your kids life. 95%+ of the DA kids are not national players and probably 99.9% of the ECNL players are not. In a few years when your kid is done you may realize it. Until then realize you look like an idiot to normal minded good parents.
