Good Afternoon Members,
The Chicken Biscuit 5k is tomorrow, 03/30/2019. The race starts at 8 AM at Chick-fil-A located at 14020 Lunar Drive, Jacksonville, FL. 32218. You can still register at the 1st Place Sports on Baymeadows Road, or on the day of the race. We encourage anyone who is free to participate as it is for a good cause, no matter if the club gets credit for your participation or not. This will be an annual event we hope to participate in and build a stronger presence each year to support our Bob Hayes Sports Complex Recreational Soccer League.
For those of you that don't know, the Bob Hayes Sports Complex and Legends Center is located on Soutel Drive on the North West Side of Jacksonville. The park contains several youth soccer fields, a football field, and a pavilion/concession building. The Armada FC Youth Academy is working with the City of Jacksonville to bring a recreational soccer league to the park. Our goal is to provide a free league where the children in this underserved area can experience the many benefits that come with soccer and being part of a youth sports organization.
We are accepting donations for this project, and are looking for corporate sponsors to support the project.
