They aren't losing their damn DA. This is all nonsense. This is all an attempt to scare away familes from wff and or going to. With the new age groups opening up,, clubs like tbu do not want to see some of their ecnl scatter. It's a make or break window in regard to recruitment and or keeping talent in the u15 and up. Pys-ops, people.
Now as far as yy goes-- he's an inept idiot. He should have gotten out in front of this, put out the fire. Instead, he does what yy does best and ignores and avoids. Worst person to be in charge ever.

However, there is talk on other state threads (yes, Talking-Soccer.com does have other states than Florida) of certain clubs in other states losing GDA as part of a reduction in the number of under-performing GDA clubs. You're saying the WFF is just part a nationwide scam? Seems to be a little too common across NE and West threads too to be completely without merit. And I'm hoping it's not true but probably not good to completely ignore it.

There are plenty of kids and families there that are happy with the Club and staff. Just because your kid was not happy there doesn't mean that the majority of kids there are as well.

It is understandable to be envious of someone who has done so well. Bringing GDA and the best top level girls soccer program to the Tampa area.

There are plenty of kids and families there that are happy with the Club and staff. Just because your kid was not happy there doesn't mean that the majority of kids there are as well.

True! Drop the Mic YY. When we pull up to JC Handley my kids can't wait to get out of the car to greet Mr YY. On top of being a soccer master he is also so much fun to be around.

Observation: Whats the big deal if WFF does lose GDA? The program obviously does not care or assist in college recruiting in any fashion. That is not hard to miss. And since few division 1 college coaches commit players from this club why not have WFF play NPL or FSPL and mitigate the travel and expense and let the players who have the means go to college ID clinics of some realistic target schools and try to salvage something from the WFF experience.

Result: WFF still gets $$$ and Girls still play soccer and maybe even win a game or 2 and get to play HS to boot. Everybody wins. Why the push back about losing GDA. Its probably for the best!

Certainly the staff could do more, but the poor play on the field is indicative also of the talent level. After all in the DA or ECNL they are going up against like minded girls who want to play at the college level, so how are they all measuring up on the weekends?

If they lost GDA, which is not going to happen. US Soccer is not going to let a top 15 GDA program get away. But if it did happen, YY would make a couple of calls and WFF would be back in the ECNL. US Soccer does not want to lose a top 15 GDA program to the ECNL. Nor can they afford to lose YY one of the best directors in the nation.
