US Soccer says it will continue to scout everywhere for talent and if it doesn’t then it is to the future USWNT’s disadvantage. Players do get developed and scouted in college and in professional leagues.

Great for you. However what you pay is not representative of most families. Not all clubs subsidize fees (in fact most only reduce fees a few hundred bucks) nor do they arrange group travel. Even $3K is out of reach for some families

For a lot more then some. Anyone that thinks most families can do that PER child is living n the bubble.

It is not pressuring players, but the over-the-top parents are as if it is the only means to the top.

This is at least partially true. And players with YNT aspirations certainly feel that whether it’s justified or not.

Stop carrying on about the top. That is for 2 kids so just stop. It was annoying marketing from the ECNL and now it is just as annoying from the GDA. You are buying soccer lessons for your kid and that it is. Some are better quality than others which has to do with coach and club and peers, not league.
