Why would anyone ever post jamboree points for neighborhood 6 clubs?
The 2 relevant boys clubs of this family picnic group have already been gutted by the Timbers DA and sit near the bottom of the family standings.

Nice work.

Yet one of said clubs sits atop the table of the oldest DA age group, and has been slowly gathering strength as its players catch up in physical development with the clubs that try to win middle school trophies by promoting early bloomers. And and the other relevant club probably will regain a fair bit of form in the next few years, as their Academy prospects are turfed out by the Timbers and return to their neighborhood teams; look for Westside dominate the 05 age group next year and FC to catch up if and when RF and GM and TE are replaced by Floridians and South Koreans.

Expect the same to happen with the 06s next year and the 07s the year after that.

Back on the east coast, where I'm from, NYCFC just dropped out of the GDA. Rumors are circulating that this is the beginning of the end in the North East. NYCFC is combining with World Class FC to put their teams in ECNL. How are the teams on the West Coast doing? It seems Texas and Southern California are doing well in the GDA. How is it going in the NW?

Clubs can’t survive financially running GDA. Much easier to make money with the ECNL platform.

Don’t know - quite a bit about this on the mass board. . . But begs the question why is a mls team wasting time with a gda program? Unless you plan to build some big youth club alliance where you can get enough pay to play customers chasing the sunsidized dream (ie pyramid with pay to play at the base) gda seems like a good way to burn a couple hudred thousand dollars with no return.

Just like in the East no one cares about girls soccer. The boys DA is thriving well.

Because the parents of girls playing for GDA and ECNL are so full of fear and self doubt about making the wrong decision and their girl (who is obviously the next Alex Morgan if they could just find the right coach to recognize this) being left behind that they have an obsesssion with hijacking every TS thread and using it to bash the program their kid isn’t in, when THE REST OF US DON’T CARE.
