The 3 teams that promoted were all US Club teams. The message is simple, if you play US Youth leagues you cannot get into NPL. The remaining Metro teams should take note and move on.

Atletico toyed with Region 1 until last year but gave up.

That's kind of a silly observation. NPL is sanctioned by US Club, of course you have to be part of US club to play NPL. That's like observing that you have to be a US citizen to play for the US national team, duh.

Should have said exclusively US Club and not affiliated with a competing sanctioned org.
