    Is NWCL still a thing?

No snark intended. What do you get from winning NWCL? Do you advance somewhere? They used to go to nationals right? Is that still happening?

Not affiliated with THUSC and never a fan of forfeits. But I'm wondering if they had illness or injuries and didn't want to play a game with no "next step" reward in winning. That's the only semi legitimate excuse to forfeit. Except maybe for reasons like Alaska's ODP - their entire pool of ODP teams forfeited the rest of their FWRL schedule because they couldn't afford any more travel. That was disappointing but you can't argue with people who spend that much to get to games when they say they can't afford it.

Who cares? They can play Sh$T Creek in OYSA. Maybe they had injuries? Maybe they were missing players due to the Bball state championships.

Why are they still playing NWCL, did both teams get turned down for the Silver division of the Vegas Cup?

98's aren't those senior's? Why they hell are they still playing club soccer? Are they trying to keep sharp for this fall at Clackamas CC?

Finally, bitching about it on TS. Glad your kid will be done in another month or two.

NWCL champ goes on to Nation Premier League Finals in Indiana in July.

As in, your craziness is recognized and hope you've scheduled time this week with your therapist. We all really need you to take better care of yourself. If you react this way for soccer talk, the issues behind your triggers must be disconcerting to your family and soccer team.

BTW it's "seniors" and not "senior's."

            I suggest a chill pill.

Point is, you sign up for a league you complete it.

Leagues have fines for not completing the games. I hope that NWCL fines all the clubs/teams that did not finish their commitments to the league. The integrity of the league is gone. The same clubs at different age groups pulled this stunt and did not finish their commitment to the league. Teams need to finish what they started or do not sign up for it at all. It impacts many players and families and is disrespectful. No excuses.

Below are examples of fines for OYSA (don't know about NWCL), it's common practice, hope it's enforced.

Table of Fines in addition to Forfeit Offense Fine/Punishment
Failure to play a game (local) $500
Failure to play a game (Travel) $1,000
Failure to play a game with less than 48 hours notice (added to fine
              for not playing)$500
Failure to play a game without any prior notice to the opponent and
the league director (added to fine for not playing)
              $1,000

In theory I agree with you, but for about the last 3 years this has been a horribly run event. In fact it has been the league that has cancelled games at the 11th hour and not cancelling because 1 team backed out they have cancelled games for teams that were competing against each other

Let me get this straight. A team forfeited for whatever reason and handed you a ticket to nationals...and you're complaining? You must be a special kind of stupid.

Unlike yourself most teams would choose to play for the opportunity. You must be unbelievably lazy.
