Also partnering with BSC for pre-ECNL starting this spring. Much like the Crossfire United organization has it's feeder clubs, FCP ECNL will have it's own academy, NEU, and BSC feeding directly into it's ECNL teams.

Odd. Why wouldn't BSC just do GDA? They already have DA.

Good question. But kudos to FC for having other clubs train their future players. It's almost as if BSC doesn't want to field any stronger girls teams. Train them and then watch them leave.

History repeats itself. At least BSC is grabbing some more cash from them on their way out.

It's smart. Building a pathway for their top players.

GDA is already severely watered down nation wide, and especially so in Oregon. No need to dilute it down below rec level by adding another club in Oregon.

There is no GDA in Oregon yet.
The two ECNL clubs are big time watered down though, they are consistently at the bottom every year. Adding GDA here would make it worse for FC Portland and Crossfire who's 03 team is already cracking.

It's hard to try and play Regionally when only 60 percent of your roster has players that should be playing at that level. Adding GDA here would make it worse for FC Portland and Crossfire who's 03 team is already cracking.

You mean offering a third training night? Most clubs are already doing that. BSC is just calling it pre-ECNL as a money grab. Looks like an alliance to try and take out RTC.

1/2 the price of RTC for members of BSC. Money grabbers in this state wear the Timbers patch.

Thorns Academy are the Oregon GDA club. Too bad they can't attract flies, will have a league full of rec-level clubs (worse than OYSA), and cost twice as much as ECNL. What a horror show!

BSC leadership realized that ECNL is the proper pathway for development and have bailed on any and all associations they had with Timbers.

By calling it pre-ecnl though the sheep may overlook the fact they aren't getting quality training now. BSC gets to look innovative, pocket some cash, and finally fall into a training pattern like the rest of the clubs.

What associations did BSC have with the Timbers? Isn't Timbers where all their DA boys will go at U15?

Injury riddled, but not cracking. CU 03 group is pretty strong when healthy and seem happy.
