    Winter League

For those players who have chosen NOT to play for ECNL (or didn't make the cut), Winter League games are starting tomorrow.

I'm curious how it's gonna shake out with the new age groups. Teams usually lose and add players before the season begins. Any predictions?? Who's going to rise to the top?

Be prepared for a lot of ugly bootball thugball. Talent level in OYSA is extremely low.

Look for outlying clubs to move up the ranks due to so many top metro area players leaving for ecnl & Thorns Academy & also to other sports/activities. Biggest changes will be at u15 with all the freshmen back from HS ball. The clubs that have their 2002 freshmen playing on age will mop up.

WT Copa and Capital FC dominated last Soring in the U13 and U14 brackets- and with birth year change that would have been the now U15 groups. None of them went to ECNL? In fact in the U13 group last spring.. which was an 02/03 blend.. the two Pre-ECNL teams came in third and fourth. Hardly the top athletes.

WT copa at 03 was really good last year. Better then GPS. Both were better then FCP and CU. There was some distance between the two.

No CFC in U15 premier. Looks like WT Copa and Washington will be the teams to beat. Rest of that division doesn't look strong.

Eugene's coach teaches them to play thug ball. That is the only surprise you ll get from them.

They haven't beat anyone 10-0. That's funny. But seriously, someone should tell their coach to actually teach the kids to have respect for themselves instead of them trying to hurt the other players. He's got a few of them making fools out of themselves. Don't blame the player blame the coach.

Oregon Ecnl teams in the 02 and especially 03 age group isn't even close to the top in Oregon.

If wt copa 03s went and played on age they would easily deal with fcp and cu. they are probably better then GPS but I wouldn't bet on it.

No CFC u15 at all, their 02's are all playing on 01 teams or left the club for other 02 teams (not ECNL)

My bad - we actually won 11-0. Easy to lose track when the girls are scoring every few minutes. And funny that when a team shows dominance the first thing that happens is all the crybaby snowflake parents start boohooing that the team is too rough. Get used to some dominance from the EUG!

It's the Timbers way! Prepare them for High School JV before they are done forever.

You must not win many games. Even red teams beat teams 11-0.

Dominance nothing. You haven't beat anyone that presents a fair challenge.

Rough nothing.. your coach literally condones a few of his players intentionally targeting their opponents. They aren't even interested in playing soccer those two. Regardless of the ethics behind it, it's an embarrassment to the player and speaks volumes of the coaches in experience or lack of integrity to the game and the kids playing it.
