    From thorns web page:

    Summer Tournament
    FWRL (Seattle)
    PAC Showcase (Seattle)
    ODP Championships
    Las Vegas Showcase (Nevada)
    Thorns Winter League
    Vancouver Showcase
    Showcase of Champions
    Timbers Friendship Cup
    OYSA State Cup
    Regionals

Not sure why it's on the schedule. They are not doing State Cup.

Played in Players Showcase, in one of the lower divisions and didn't win it
Did play in Thorns Winter league against rec+ teams
Only Vancouver tourney they might attend is Crash at the Border - and not win
Friendship Cup - what a joke
State Cup - not doing it
Regionals - are not qualified to attend Regionals

So the total sum of their elite highly competitive schedule is the Beaverton Cup and 4th division Players Showcase. Sweet!
Ugh. It must be a really gut-wrenching feeling to realize you got scammed and wasted a year of your kid's development like this.

Working 100x better than any other model in Oregon.

I predict that clubs who still chase state cups will continue to be developmentally and structurally behind in our new/current era. People chasing the old system are chasing ghosts/relics of the past.

Who ya gonna call? DA/GDA-Busters (1-800-USSF direct)...

The market has evolved and the once and future king of Oregon state cups era is here...which is second tier football locally and while it's a fun concept, it's an antiquated reality and recipe for the wrong mentality as it relates to today's pay-to-play model (which should instead be focused on rapid development for OYSA level children).

Winning and development are now mutually exclusive in the new era.

It caters to wealthy white teenagers that mostly live on the Westside of the city. How is this the best model? Frankly it's shameful.

True but true of all pay-to-play soccer. Even if GDA is free, only girls whose parents can afford the time & money to get them to practice 4 days/wk can play.

Will be interesting to see where the GDA practices will be.

Oregon State Cup - Where soccer development is defined by how many you win. I will predict no club wins more than two. There will be winners from all clubs. You could say this is a good thing but it's completely opposite. The clubs here have no clue about soccer and youth development. Oregon soccer sucks!!!!

Same cost as any top level travelling team in the state, but with better coaching, training, and competition. How is that shameful?

ECNL & ACADEMY are for soccer-only kids. The draw of OYSA is for the multi-sport kids so please get the schedules out as soon as possible.
