No one said that no one wants to play ECNL. Just stated the facts that ECNL teams have players on the roster that would not make a Thorns or some OYSA team. These girls pay the $2500 training fees to support the rest of the group. I assume you are part of ECNL and have experienced the frustration when these not so top level prospects get playing time. Some ECNL teams have more bad players than other. The end of the day, the DOC needs to generate enough revenue to pay himself.

And Thorns Academy is full of girls that got cut from ECNL or rode the pine on ECNL club "B" teams. Just the facts.

This is true. Thorns took a girl from our team who wasn't a starter. Our coach was struggling to find playing time for her. And there are at least two girls on the younger team who either got cut from CU's ECNL tryouts or bailed after a year of riding the pine.

Let's see. Just look at the rosters of Hawaii, Portland State, Biola, Western Oregon, Colorado School of Mines, and that's just off the top of my head.

Oregon girls continue to play soccer at various levels in college (mostly lower) as they always have. Ecnl hasn't changed the final outcome. Neither has Thorns Academy. Neither will GDA. Find the best fit for your player and enjoy it while it lasts. There are many college spots for girls so your dd will find something.
