Did fortis realize that it was hard to run a club and threw in the towel after a year?
I'm sure GPS threw them a bone and are giving them some sort of title with some money being thrown at them for a few years then GPS gets rid of them and brings in some guy from England to run things for half the price.

“In GPS we see a strong beneficial relationship that will only enhance and deepen the shared mission stated above that both organizations strive to achieve for their players,” said Fortis FC founder Mike Elster. “We are looking forward to working with GPS coordinating and delivering shared ideas with GPS for continued enhanced value to all those that choose to join the GPS Fortis FC community,” said Elster.
The partnership will see GPS provide extensive technical, operations and marketing support to Fortis FC. Additionally both groups will work to integrate additional successful programs across the age spectrum with Fortis FC and its coaching staff also continuing to provide creative programming such as their popular Hybrid Soccer Training.

Only benefit to GPS is the facility, they must be getting first pass at field space so they can grow in that area.

Looks like he started for a dance partner once all his players left after year 1. They needed to merge with GPS to charge the high prices for the poor product. This is very similar to SCOR merging with FC Boston and now Stars so they can sell players on the club even know all the teams will be in League 1.
