Something isn't right. Can a basketball player become part of the high school team two months late because they are off doing something else outside of school?

U.S. Soccer made it very clear that players can not participate in Girls DA and high school soccer at the same time, and now the high schools are bending the rules and allowing players to join the high school rosters in mid December. This has to stop now.

Can anyone find a rule in the high school handbook about players having to play a certain amount of games for their school in the season to be eligible to participate in the high school playoffs? Can a new player move into the district and be placed on a school roster in mid December?

Do you think the Principal or Athletic Director even knows if a player is or is not practicing and playing games with the high school soccer team? They won't even question when a new player shows up in mid December. The players might wonder why the girl is wearing a soccer shirt when she isn't part of the team until December, but the the girl won't care because the whole school will think she is on the team. No one goes out to watch the games.

Assuming the girl can't wear a HS soccer jersey or get one until her name comes off the GDA roster after the GDA showcase, but who's following any rules.

High School rule 66.35.2
Player may not be issued a high school jersey until she is officially on the roster which can not be until she is officially off a Girls DA roster.

Parents, hs coaches and club coaches that are letting kids do what they want should be ashamed of the lessons they are teaching.

How can these high schools be adding players to their rosters late after GDA games are done or after the GDA Showcase? Don’t the rosters have to be final after tryouts and posted by the school?
