If she is that good, it's time to change clubs or go to higher level team within existing club. Soccer Play dates are over

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostTypical ignorant or snarky TS comment. Lots of parents hold kids back in kindergarten to give them an advantage in school. Usually happens when a kid is born near the academic cutoff of June/July. Those kids are the youngest in their grade and holding them back in K allows them more time to mature and develop, and of course they are the oldest in their grade at that point. Similar to relative age effect... no reason a kid should struggle in school just because they were unlucky and born in a disadvantageous month.
So what months can we have sex??

As the first responder stated, it sounds like the current coach does not want your kid. You would be wise to pay attention to that. There is nothing worse for a kid than a coach who doesn't want her on a team.
All that aside, you need to find the best place, fit, team, coach for your kid; regardless of birth year and current situation.
If her birth year team is really that weak, I would look into other clubs. As other posters asked, what does she want to do?
Is the current coach staying with the team for next year? If not, consider having her try out with her existing team.
You didn't mention why the coach is suggesting the move. How about ask, if you haven't already. Share your concerns regarding the birth year team and see what he says.
At the end of the day, you have find the right fit for your kid.
