As constituted US soccer is nothing but an arm of the progressive left. Have one player (as did a Christian on the women's team) step out of line and see what happens to the player.

I'll support them when they leave their agenda outside the stadium.

The women player leaving the team was already debunked #fakenews

I want to see wambauch swap spit with her girlfriend and rampinoe on her knees...not.

Now that my daughter is no longer into the women's national team anymore since she is >14, I no longer have to subject my self to watching women's soccer and pretending to like it

I loved when the old hags who were no longer fast decided they didn't want to play on turf anymore, but blamed it on equal rights. What about equal pay after the Olympics, What ever happened to those "issues" FIFA 2 - us women's national team 0. They roped poor Alex Morgan into the cause and look where it got her. Her 5 minute candle of fame stuffed out. She should have been content to rock the girl next door image and collect fat paychecks from endorsements. Now she will end up coaching youth teams at Fsa.

They were such good role models though...hopeless solo and domestic violence, out of the closet Abby, and her dui and admitting to being a pill popping junkie.

Thanks for the memories women's soccer!

Which player, Rapinoe or Solo????? Both idiots. The players should also leave their agendas out of sports (and battery as well).

Neither ... a non regular left the team in June purportedly because of the rainbow numbers. A poster is trying to make the case here and on the Mass site that she was removed recently because of her Christian beliefs

So as usual the facts have been twisted to fit the narrative

Fact: Jaelene Hinkle left the team on her own prior to two June friendlies
Fact. she was on the roster for both games prior to leaving for personal reasons
Fact: Those were the games that rainbow numbers were utilized to celebrate Gay Pride
Fact. She has played a total of eight games since 2015
Fact: Her beliefs on homosexuality were well known prior to her other call ups. Yet she was still named to the team

She wasn't removed; she left in June. She wasn't a regular

Tell me what you think would have happened to her if she wouldn't wear the rainbow jersey?

And please provide the proof that you have that her beliefs were well known prior to her previouscall up. And how much are you willing to bet she never gets another call up? And why do you think that will be?

How long do you think US soccer would allow a flag to fly in the stands that was a rainbow with a line going through it?

She advocated strongly on Instagram and Twitter about her beliefs on same sex marriage before and after the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in June 2015. She was called into Camp in October 2015 and earned 8 caps since that time. It was only in June 2017 that she left the team.

Hey I respect the facts that she's willing to stand up for her beliefs. That's courageous. However let's not make it like she was kicked off because of those beliefs.

Rapinoe lost lots of fans with her antics last year. With that said, she was the best player on the field for much of last night's match. Crafty and creative. Without her out there last night, the US gets blown out. The play last night was mainly underwhelming.

The coach is terrible. There were times where the back line struggled to connect simple passes.

Let's turn over the top US club players to these idiots. Great idea!

they are trying to "gay-up" sports, for social acceptance, but nobody really cares wether you're gay or not, just that you are good. it will keep happening and they will keep dragging in other fringe causes to try and make it "SOP". the fact is most don't care either way
they tried it the NFL ,thought they had their guy, Michael Sam, but he just couldn't produce.
fact of the matter is ,its a distraction. Rapinoe is the best player they have, the fact that she is gay has nothing to do with it

They aren't trying to gay up anything. It's already there

The women's soccer team has a large number of gay players, coaches and fans. It also helps that traditional some of their best players are gay

To your point, their primary demographic, millennials don't care about homosexuality.

                          It's economics plain and simple

then why the big commercial push?? Women hoops has always been loaded with gay players ,yet no sensationalism. you are 100% correct about the economics of it, they thought it would help their marketability. but people don't pay for gay sports they pay for good sports.

, and when you rub their noses in it, sometimes they walk away

Rainbow numbers to acknowledge Gay Pride month isn't a huge commercialization in itself.

The Economics of this is supporting their fans, players and coaches. This acknowledgement builds customer loyalty and keeps customers coming back.
